BioSpecimens
Scientific Evaluation Support (SES) is offering a variety of human biofluids, collected predominantly from donors with oncologic diseases. Among these samples are: whole blood and its derivates as plasma, serum, and PBMS. In addition, we are collecting bone marrow, urine samples, saliva, sputum, ascites amniotic fluid, CSF, stools, or any other potentially available bioproducts excreted by the human body. The above biospecimens are also available from healthy subjects.
In accordance with the local and international regulations in the field of biospecimen provision, we are strictly compliant with IRB-approved informed consent forms which each of our donors is signing on before any collection of the specimens.
Upon request, the approved templates can be provided.
-
Consented human whole blood samples collected from, healthy volunteers, and patients with different oncological, non-oncological and infectious diseases collected under blood collection hospital SOC protocols.
-
Plasma is the clear, straw-colored liquid portion of blood that remains after red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets and other cellular components are removed. It is the single largest component of human blood, comprising about 55 percent, and contains water, salts, enzymes, antibodies and other proteins.
-
Serum contains all protein not used in blood clotting plus all electrolytes, antibodies, antigens, hormones and any exogenous substances.
-
Buffy coat as a cellular fraction of blood, contains monocytes, lymphocytes and granulocytes.
-
Samples of fresh liquid bone marrow aspirate, from subjects with hematological diseases and healthy donors are provided upon request.
-
Human peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) isolated from peripheral blood and identified as any blood cell with a round nucleus (i.e. lymphocytes, monocytes, natural killer cells (NK cells) or dendritic cells) – Isolated in accordance with the applicable SOP. Shipped frozen on dry ice.
-
Bone marrow mononuclear cells (BMMCs) isolated in accordance to the applicable SOPs it contains heterogeneous population of primary cells that are derived from the adult bone marrow aspirate. These mononuclear cells include lymphocytes, monocytes, hematopoietic stem cells, and hematopoietic progenitor cells. Isolated from bone marrow aspirate. Shipped frozen on dry ice.
-
Urine Samples from healthy volunteers or diseased patients with various diagnoses including but not limited to cancer, infectious diseases or other systemic diseases. Collected fresh – all samples are frozen within 30 minutes at -86 and shipped on dry ice.
-
Sputum and Saliva collections from patients or healthy volunteers, collected in the morning, are stored in sterile cryovials and frozen within 1 hour at -70 or lower.
-
Collected under ultrasound guidance by healthcare professional the amniotic fluid is stored at -86 in container or cryotube depending on the needs of the researchers and its volume.
-
Peritoneal or pelvic ascites, collected from subjects with various oncological or infectious conditions are available in our portfolio. All ascitic fluid is prospectively collected in accordance with strict SOPs and stored within 1 hour at -70 or lower.
-
Human cerebral-spinal fluid al spinal fluid samples from healthy donors & donors with neurological disorders. Collected via lumbar puncture and stored at -86 degrees Celsius.

SES can provide many and different human plasma, serum or whole blood research samples, as well as human blood components from a single or a pool of donors. In addition, you may specify the blood type preferred for your research.
All samples are collected in licensed facility and pathogen tested according to both EMA and FDA guidelines for the following: HBsAG, Anti-HCV, Anti-HIV-1/1, HIV-1 RNA, HBV DNA, HCV RNA and Syphilis.
Whole Blood
Plasma
Plasma is the clear, straw-colored liquid portion of blood that remains after red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets and other cellular components are removed. It is the single largest component of human blood, comprising about 55 percent, and contains water, salts, enzymes, antibodies and other proteins.
We supply samples derived from whole blood obtained from many different Human donors, which are processed within 4 hours. Blood sample is centrifuged and plasma is separated and stored at -86C. All procedures are performed in a sterile environment.
All plasmas are collected in hospitals and clinics and are tested negative for infectious pathogens as HIV, Hepatitis B and C and Syphilis.

Whole Blood
Buffy coat as a cellular fraction of blood, contains monocytes, lymphocytes and granulocytes. Our buffy coat samples are obtained by centrifugation of whole blood (collected in tubes containing an anticoagulant) to form three fractions (plasma, buffy coat and RBCs). Following removal of the plasma, the buffy coat layer of cells is isolated, stored frozen and used for research only.
Serum contains all protein not used in blood clotting plus all electrolytes, antibodies, antigens, hormones and any exogenous substances.
SES provides serum derived from whole blood obtained from Human donors and processed within 4 hours after collection. Blood sample is centrifuged and serum is isolated and stored in the vapor phase of liquid nitrogen. All procedures are performed under GLP compliance and sterile conditions.
We have single and pooled samples. In case of pooled samples, number of donors in pools can be indicated when requested.
